Matvei Hutman was born in 1976 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

In 1999, he graduated from the University of Vienna in Austria with a degree in International Economics. Since 1997, he has been successfully operating businesses across various countries in Western and Eastern Europe.

In 2014, Matvei Hutman was elected Treasurer of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress by the delegates of the EAJC General Assembly in Jerusalem. Alongside this role, he headed the Asset Management and Private Banking department at Meinl Bank AG Austria for many years.

Since 2016, Matvei Hutman has served as the CEO and co-owner of Austria's largest textile company, Palmers Textil AG, as well as a co-owner of the Austrian company Valetono Development GmbH.

Matvei Hutman maintains an active role in public affairs, dedicating significant attention to combating antisemitism and upholding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which representatives of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) helped draft. In light of the global crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine, his primary and most significant initiative has been a charitable project sponsored by Palmers. This initiative is designed to assist Ukrainian refugees by providing housing and initial counseling services, as well as supplying medical provisions and food aid to the affected civilian population.

For over 20 years, Matvei Hutman has supported charitable projects focusing on education, healthcare, and social welfare within Jewish communities worldwide, irrespective of their location.
