
Michael Mirilashvili
The President

Michael Mirilashvili was born in 1960 in Kulashi, Georgia. In 1983, he graduated with a degree in pediatrics from the Leningrad Pediatric Medical Institute. Shortly thereafter, he entered the business sector, subsequently developing an international enterprise.
Mr. Mirilashvili actively supports philanthropic initiatives for the benefit of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. He contributes significantly to the development of Jewish communities across the CIS and provides substantial funding for the restoration and reconstruction of synagogues and community centers. Throughout his activities, he emphasizes the strengthening of ties between the State of Israel and diaspora communities.
Alongside his tenure as President of the EAJC, Mr. Mirilashvili serves as Vice-President of the World Jewish Congress, Vice-President of the Russian Jewish Congress, and Vice-President of the St. Petersburg Jewish Congress.
Within the framework of international Jewish organizations, Mr. Mirilashvili advocates for human rights, Jewish education, and the construction of new synagogues and community service centers.
Michael Mirilashvili dedicates substantial funding to charitable projects in Israel, as well as assistance in repatriation for Jewish individuals originating from countries affected by manifestations of antisemitism. Key initiatives include financing a charter flight with Israeli medical specialists to aid victims of the terrorist attack in Burgas, Bulgaria, establishing a fire safety station following the Mount Carmel forest fire, and donating Torah scrolls to units of the Israel Defense Forces.
Mr. Mirilashvili supports the Yad Vashem project titled "Center for Research on the History of Soviet Jews during the Holocaust."
