This publication is executed to a high standard, utilizing clear and concise language paired with a large, legible typeface. The Shamir Publishing House undertook the highly timely yet exceptionally challenging task of producing a Russian-language edition of the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. This was accomplished through the dedicated efforts of compiler and translator Yehuda Wechsler, an esteemed Torah scholar committed to accurately conveying its meaning to those uninitiated in Jewish tradition. The significant contribution of Ze'ev Wagner to the creation of the Russian edition must also be acknowledged. Y. Wechsler preserved the structure, sequence, and style of Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried's original Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. However, certain laws have been omitted—specifically those concerning circumstances rarely encountered in the modern era, or those of lesser relevance to individuals taking their initial steps toward returning to a Jewish way of life. In addition to the text by Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, the compiler referenced several contemporary Halachic works and consulted extensively with leading Halachic authorities in Israel.
