The EAJC Director General Delivered a Lecture on the History of Antisemitism in London

On October 3, 2026, Arc Space London hosted a lecture by Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. The address focused on the historical origins of antisemitism, Holocaust remembrance, and the enduring lessons of the Second World War.

The keynote presentation, titled "No Monument Stands Over Babi Yar," examined the tragedy of Babi Yar, the Soviet policy of suppressing the memory of Jewish victims of Nazism, and the critical role of art in preserving historical truth. Drawing upon Yevgeny Yevtushenko’s poem and Dmitry Shostakovich’s Thirteenth Symphony, the lecture explored the resistance against antisemitism and the power of moral integrity. Particular emphasis was placed on the vital significance of historical memory for contemporary society.
