Statement by the EAJC on the Occasion of the Third Anniversary of the October 7 Tragedy

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress bows its head in memory of the victims of the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, and all those who lost their lives defending Israel. We share the grief of the families who lost their loved ones and extend our support to the victims, those who survived captivity, and everyone who continues to live with the consequences of this tragedy.

On this day, we reaffirm our solidarity with the people of Israel and their right to live in security. Terrorism, hostage-taking, and violence against civilians can never be justified. The memory of the victims demands active opposition to antisemitism, hatred, and any attempts to excuse or deny the crimes committed.

We emphasize the crucial importance of a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy, a responsible reflection on its lessons, and the preservation of social unity.

We call upon the international community to assist in preventing future tragedies, protecting the civilian population, and achieving a sustainable peace that ensures the security of Israel and a dignified future for the peoples of the region.
