On the Inadmissibility of Anti-Zionism and Other Forms of Antisemitism

Acknowledging the alarming rise of global antisemitism since October 7, along with the widespread dissemination of false and misleading information regarding the Jewish national movement and the State of Israel.

The EAJC condemns all forms of national and religious intolerance.

The EAJC remains steadfast in its conviction that any attempt to justify brutal terrorist attacks under any pretext constitutes a complete breakdown of moral principles and is a highly dangerous phenomenon that demands condemnation.

The EAJC draws a clear distinction between legitimate criticism of the State of Israel and its government's actions, and the delegitimization of the State of Israel as such.

The EAJC emphasizes that the Jewish people, like all other nations, possess an absolute and unconditional right to self-determination and sovereign statehood. More than a century ago, following millennia in exile, the Jewish people unequivocally declared their aspiration to rebuild their state in the land of their ancestors, to which they are bound by ancient history. The Jewish State was established with the explicit support of global powers, grounded in universally recognized international instruments that are not subject to revision. For over 120 years, leaders of the Jewish national movement and the State of Israel have consistently extended an offer of peace, initiating numerous proposals to resolve the conflict with the local Arab population through mutual recognition.

The EAJC regards any attempts to deny the existence of the Jewish people, their historical connection to the Land of Israel, and their right to national self-determination as an explicit manifestation of antisemitism.

The EAJC condemns any comparisons of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to the Holocaust, deeming them inappropriate, distortionary, and offensive to the memory of the victims of the largest genocide and unprecedented tragedy in human history.

The EAJC promotes the adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism at various levels, and calls upon the leaders of the Euro-Asian region to consider adopting this definition legislatively to enable the prosecution of physical and verbal acts of intolerance against Jewish populations and the State of Israel.
