The 20th Anniversary of the Tragic Terrorist Attack in Tel Aviv

Twenty years ago, an explosion detonated at the entrance of the Dolphinarium discotheque in Tel Aviv, forever altering the lives of Israelis and leaving a devastating mark. Twenty Russian-speaking youths aged 15 to 25 and one 35-year-old Hebrew-speaking security guard lost their lives, while 120 others sustained injuries. The suicide bombing, perpetrated by an operative recruited by the Hamas terrorist organization, plunged the entire nation into profound mourning.

In Israel, June 1, International Children's Day, became established as a solemn day of remembrance—a day when children were confronted directly with absolute evil. The leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and shares in the enduring pain of the survivors of this horrific attack.
