Ariel Bulshteyn on Information Warfare and Israel's Public Image: Jabotinsky's Legacy. Presentation at Limmud Moscow. Video

News

On April 13, Ariel Bulshtein, head of the EAJC Public Diplomacy project, spoke at Limmud in Moscow. He addressed Limmud participants regarding the ongoing global information wars surrounding Israel, examined the nuances of public opinion toward Israel in Europe, the United States, and Russia, and explained the mechanics of anti-Israel propaganda.

Despite Israel’s existence on the political map of the world for over 70 years, attempts to destroy the Jewish state and undermine its legitimacy persist. In recent years, these efforts have shifted from the military sphere to the propaganda front: the onslaught of reputational attacks on Israel has escalated into a full-scale information war, forcing Israeli leaders to seek responses to this modern challenge. Could the answers lie in the writings of Vladimir (Ze'ev) Jabotinsky, the most successful defender of the Jewish state’s right to exist?

How can the magnitude of the information threat to Israel be assessed? And is it viable to apply century-old solutions to combat it? Watch Ariel Bulshtein’s address here:
