Dr. Chaim Ben Yakov on the Issue of Rehabilitating Collaborators (Channel 9)

Following the statement by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance condemning the rehabilitation of Nazi collaborators, Dr. Haim Ben-Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, commented on Israeli television on the geopolitical aspects of antisemitism and, specifically, the glorification of Nazi allies.

“Regrettably, we face attempts to suppress the crimes of collaborators by claiming Holocaust evidence is unreliable and by manipulating death toll statistics. Certain forces even accuse Zionist leaders of instigating the Holocaust in an effort to acquire territory for a Jewish state and secure substantial financial compensation. All such practices of denying and silencing the tragedy of the Jewish people constitute direct manifestations of antisemitism and deserve unequivocal condemnation,” stated Dr. Haim Ben-Yakov.

Previously, the President of the EAJC, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, welcomed the statement issued by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), which represents 35 member states.
