A delegation from the Jabotinsky Institute has visited several Russian universities

In late October 2019, an esteemed delegation from the Jabotinsky Institute (Tel Aviv, Israel) visited Moscow, Yaroslavl, and St. Petersburg. The delegation included Ariel Bulshtein, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel and Member of the Institute's Board of Directors; Yossi Ahimeir, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Arye Naor, Chairman of the Academic Council; and Gideon Mitchnick, Director General of the Institute. They delivered lectures on Ze'ev Jabotinsky at several Russian universities, including the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), the Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU), and the Yaroslavl and Saint Petersburg State Universities.

On October 30, the delegation met with participants and activists of the Shahar movement at the Moscow Choral Synagogue. The Russian office of the EAJC facilitated the organization of this meeting.

In his address, Ariel Bulshtein, who prior to his appointment as Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel directed the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress "Public Diplomacy" special project, noted that the EAJC "makes significant efforts to support Jewish life in Russia and beyond, to advocate for Israel and its reputation, and to represent Israeli positions, including in challenging forums."

Ariel Bulshtein spoke to the audience about the pivotal role of Ze'ev Jabotinsky in the Zionist movement and the establishment and consolidation of the State of Israel.
