The EAJC supports the Israel Institute's appeal to the New Zealand authorities to cease the delegitimization of Israel

Following a formal demand from the Israel Institute, Immigration New Zealand has removed an informational factsheet about Palestinian refugees from its official website, which had referred to Israel as Palestine.
The government website published a map highlighting Israel in blue and labeling it as "Palestine". The West Bank was not included in the highlighted area.
The Israel Institute, operating in New Zealand with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, called on the Minister of Immigration to issue an immediate apology for the offensive depiction, confirm that it does not reflect government policy, and initiate an investigation.
"The delegitimization of Israel is deeply offensive not only to Israelis, but to all Jewish people worldwide. EAJC supports the Israel Institute's call to the New Zealand authorities to treat the State of Israel as the legitimate national home of the Jewish people," said EAJC President Michael Mirilashvili.
"The time has come to delegitimize the delegitimization of Israel. The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress will make every effort to combat delegitimization campaigns that threaten the future of Israel and the Jewish people," stated EAJC Director General Haim Ben-Yakov.
