News

Exactly 30 years ago, the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova resumed its activities, eventually uniting all regional Jewish organizations and communities across the country.

We extend our congratulations to Mr. Alexander Bilinkis, President of the JCRM and Vice-President of the EAJC, as well as to the entire leadership of the community, on this outstanding anniversary.

Over these three decades, you have achieved remarkable success in reviving Jewish life in the Republic of Moldova. Your productive cooperation with government authorities and development partners serves as a model for other Jewish leaders in the Euro-Asian region.

This year alone, a new synagogue was completed in Chisinau, and the "Nesharim" Jewish summer camp welcomed over 100 children from across the country. Furthermore, Moldova operates an independent Council for Preventing and Eliminating Discrimination and Ensuring Equality, whose mandate includes combating antisemitism.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is pleased and proud to support the strategic projects and initiatives established by the community's leadership. We highly value our fruitful cooperation with EAJC Vice-Presidents Alexander Bilinkis and Emmanuil Grinshpun, who represent the Moldovan community within the congress and contribute significantly to the activities of the EAJC.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress remains committed to further strengthening our cooperation for the benefit of the Jewish people and the preservation of the historic Jewish community that has long resided in Moldova.
