EAJC Welcomes Kazakhstan's Accession to the Abraham Accords

On Friday night, November 7, US President Donald Trump announced that Kazakhstan is joining the Abraham Accords. Thus, Kazakhstan joins the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan in their agreements with Israel.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) welcomes the accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Abraham Accords and expresses its hope that this milestone will usher in a new era of even greater cooperation between Jerusalem and Astana.

Statement by the President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, on the occasion of the accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Abraham Accords:

"The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress welcomes the historic decision of the Republic of Kazakhstan to join the Abraham Accords—an initiative that has opened a new chapter in the history of dialogue, mutual understanding, and peace in the Middle East.

This step reflects Kazakhstan's deep commitment to the values of peace, tolerance, and interfaith harmony, which have been an integral part of its national policy since the founding of the republic.

Joining the Abraham Accords is not merely a diplomatic move, but also an expression of the moral responsibility and foresight that so characterize the leadership of Kazakhstan.

For us, as representatives of the Jewish communities of Eurasia, this event holds special significance. It strengthens bridges between nations and religions, opens new horizons of cooperation between Kazakhstan, Israel, and other countries in the region, and creates further opportunities for the development of mutual understanding, cultural, and humanitarian ties.

We express our gratitude to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Kazakh diplomats for their consistent policy in support of peace and intercultural dialogue.
