The EAJC welcomes the Senate's confirmation of Rabbi Kaplun's appointment

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress welcomes the decision of the US Senate to confirm Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun as the US Department of State Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, with the rank of Ambassador.

EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili stated:

“The appointment of Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun to the post of US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism is a timely and fundamentally important step. We welcome the US Senate's decision to confirm this appointment. Antisemitism today is not a localized occurrence, but a global, highly coordinated, and increasingly audacious threat that demands responsible and professional leadership.

I have personally known Rabbi Kaploun for many years and can attest to his deep personal commitment, seriousness of purpose, and consistency in opposing antisemitism in all its forms. He clearly understands the scale of the challenges currently facing Jewish communities and the responsibility that this office entails.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, which represents the interests of Jewish communities across Eurasia, highly values the US Administration's commitment to ensuring the continuity and high standards of this key institution, and looks forward to constructive cooperation with the Special Envoy in defending Jewish life, human dignity, and historical truth.”
