The Director General of the EAJC will address the Limmud 2025 festival

Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), is scheduled to speak at Limmud, the annual Jewish educational festival. This year, the event will take place from December 4 to 6 in Zichron Yaakov.

Dr. Ben Yakov will deliver a lecture titled "Jews in Democratic and Authoritarian Societies: The Security Paradox."

The EAJC Director General will address "why Jews have historically felt more secure in democracies with pluralistic structures, whereas in autocracies they have frequently become targets. A challenging question remains: is a 'benevolent dictatorship' ever a viable option for Jews, or is it invariably an illusion?"

The lecture is scheduled for December 6 at 16:45 at Derech Aaron 2, Zichron Yaakov.

The EAJC has been a long-standing and consistent partner of the Limmud festival. Chairman of the EAJC Board, Aaron G. Frenkel, who also serves as President of Limmud FSU, stated: "The outstanding concept of Limmud continues to engage a vast Jewish audience. The spirit of learning and innovation inherent in this project unites Jewish communities worldwide."

The EAJC remains committed to supporting academic, educational, and cultural initiatives concerning the history of Israel and Jewish communities, identifying the preservation of cultural and historical heritage as one of its primary objectives.
