Hillel CASE performed Hatikvah to honor Israel’s Independence Day

News

It was only in 2004 that Hatikvah was officially designated as the national anthem of the State of Israel. Prior to that, it was sung and embraced as the anthem without any formal legislative basis. This makes it far more than just a song. It has constantly accompanied the Jewish people through both the most challenging and the most solemn moments of our history.

Despite the extraordinary circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic, young Jewish people from six countries came together to perform Hatikvah and congratulate the State of Israel on its 72nd anniversary. We extend our gratitude to Hillel CASE!

Hillel CASE comprises a program center and 13 regional organizations across Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus. The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is proud to support one of the leading Jewish student organizations.
