The EAJC leadership extended their congratulations to Maia Sandu on her victory in the Moldovan presidential election

EAJC President Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili, leaders of the Jewish Community of Moldova, and EAJC Vice-Presidents Emmanuil Grinshpun and Alexander Bilinkis congratulated Maia Sandu on her victory in the Moldovan presidential election.

EAJC leaders addressed the President-elect in a letter, which, in particular, reads:

"Dear Madam President,

On behalf of the leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, we congratulate you on your electoral victory.

Given the challenges that the Jewish community of Moldova has recently faced, we fully share your vision and your appeals for justice and the rule of law. Your election signifies that the people of Moldova have chosen a new path, and we wish you every success on this journey.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress looks forward to establishing cooperation and engaging with you on matters concerning Jewish life in Moldova and relations with the State of Israel. We also hope that under your leadership, Moldova will become the next nation to relocate its embassy to Jerusalem.

We wish you good health, great success, as well as prosperity and peace to the people of Moldova."
