The leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress extended their congratulations to the Republic of Moldova on its 32nd Independence Day. In an official letter addressed to President Sandu, EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili expressed his appreciation for the state's efforts in combating antisemitism, as well as its commitment to preserving the history and cultural heritage of the local Jewish community.
“We are deeply grateful for your resolute stance against antisemitism in all its forms and your extensive support for the Jewish community, including measures to preserve its history and cultural heritage. The dedication of the memorial in the Cosăuți forest in September 2022, along with other initiatives commemorating the thousands of Jews who perished during the Holocaust, stands as a testament to the direction of your policy. We are confident that such actions, aimed at preserving historical memory and learning from the lessons of the past, strengthen bilateral relations and resonate deeply not only within the Republic of Moldova but also worldwide,” wrote Michael Mirilashvili.
