The Lema'anhem organization has launched a dedicated hotline to assist immigrants from Ukraine.

The non-profit organization "Lema'anchem" ("For You"), with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), has launched a dedicated telephone helpline for Ukrainian Jews navigating the process of obtaining new immigrant status in Israel. The hotline is designed to streamline bureaucratic procedures regarding registration with medical institutions for potential healthcare access.

Helpline phone number: *6884. Russian-speaking doctors and operators will assist individuals who have already arrived in Israel but have not yet obtained citizenship to navigate the health insurance system and related medical services.

Since February 24, fleeing the armed conflict in Ukraine, several thousand Jews have departed for Israel. Hundreds of refugees have arrived in the Jewish state in the past week alone, with several hundred more anticipated in the coming days. These individuals find themselves in a challenging position: while their legal status remains pending, many may require urgent medical assistance. Among those evacuated are students from the Odessa Jewish boarding school. Furthermore, the evacuation of a veterans' home in Kyiv is currently underway, with its residents expected to arrive in Israel shortly.
