The EAJC President has been honored with the highest award of the Maccabi Movement.

Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, has been honored with the "Outstanding Figure of Maccabiah 2022" award, a prestigious accolade from the Maccabi World Union. The awarding ceremony took place on July 20 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The distinction was presented in recognition of his "exceptional and long-standing support and contribution to the development of the global Maccabi movement."

The presentation coincided with the 21st Maccabiah Games, held in Israel from July 14 to 27, 2022. This year's Jewish Olympics brought together over 10,000 athletes from 80 countries. The Maccabiah 2022 program features competitions in 42 sports across three divisions: Open, Juniors, and Masters.

It is also noted that the Maccabi Club Association of the Eurasian Region has been a long-term affiliate of the EAJC.
