Under the auspices of the EAJC, a delegation of Russian hockey legends visited Israel.

Last week, with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, a delegation of Russian hockey legends visited Israel. The visit was timed to coincide with the events marking the 30th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Russia and Israel. The delegation included Vyacheslav Fetisov, Alexander Mogilny, Vladimir Myshkin, Alexei Kasatonov, Sergey Babinov, and others.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Yad Vashem Holocaust Remembrance Center and subsequently laid memorial wreaths at the "Candle of Remembrance" monument dedicated to the victims of the Siege of Leningrad in Jerusalem. The monument was unveiled in January 2023 with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress.

On Thursday, a ceremonial hockey match took place between the national teams of Russia and Israel. The delegation's visit concluded with a special reception hosted by the Embassy of the Russian Federation at the residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Israel, Anatoly Viktorov. During the reception, EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili was presented with a symbolic hockey jersey.
