A Mikveh Has Opened in Azerbaijan with the Support of the EAJC

In Baku, Azerbaijan, where previously only a women's Mikveh was operating, a men's Mikveh and a Mikveh for utensils have been renovated and opened with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress.

Under the supervision of Rabbi Zamir Isaev, the rabbi of the Georgian Jewish community of Azerbaijan, all the necessary renovation works for the Mikveh's operation were carried out. Once filled with rainwater, the Mikveh will be fully prepared for use.

Yevgeny Brenneysen, Deputy Chairman of the Jewish community in Baku, expressed his gratitude to the Congress leadership for their support in implementing this project.

“It is crucial that Jewish people in every country have equal and full access to fundamental Jewish rituals. It is an honor for the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress to support such projects within communities, and we are pleased that maintaining a Jewish way of life in the Azerbaijani community will now be significantly easier,” said the President of the EAJC, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili.
