With the support of the EAJC, the world bestseller about "Mossad" has been published in Ukrainian translation

The Ukrainian publishing house "Nash Format" has released a translation of the book "Mossad: The Greatest Missions of the Israeli Secret Service" by the renowned Israeli historian Michael Bar-Zohar and popular TV journalist Nissim Mishal. This was announced on Facebook by Boris Lozhkin, President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine and First Vice-President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC). According to him, this is "the first edition in the Ukrainian language of an international bestseller regarding Israel and Jewish people." The book was published as part of the "Jewish Library" series, which translates selected books about Israel and the Jews into Ukrainian for the first time.

"Good news for book lovers: 'Nash Format' has published the third book of the 'Jewish Library' series. This time, the focus is on the most classified intelligence agency in the world, whose name translated from Hebrew simply means 'the Institute'," Boris Lozhkin noted. He also added that work on subsequent publications in the series is already underway.

Bar-Zohar's book describes the activities of the secret Israeli intelligence agency, the details of which remain largely undisclosed to the general public. "Even the names of the Mossad directors were not made public until 1996, and the details of almost all special missions remain strictly confidential, with the exception of a few that had a global impact," Lozhkin remarked.

He emphasized that the authors, Bar-Zohar and Mishal, "made significant efforts to reconstruct a comprehensive picture of global-scale operations from fragments of information and interviews with direct participants. The result is a collection of highly compelling accounts."

The launch of the "Jewish Library" book series was initiated by the Boris Lozhkin Charitable Foundation, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, and the Yuriy Lutsenko Family Foundation.

Previously published in Ukrainian under this series were "Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn" by Dr. Daniel Gordis, one of the most prominent historians of the Jewish state, and "My Life," the autobiography of Golda Meir, the fourth Prime Minister of Israel.

"Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn" was named the 2016 National Jewish Book Award "Book of the Year". Translated into numerous languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Romanian, and Russian, it details the crucial political and cultural factors necessary for a comprehensive understanding of Israeli history, from its origins to the modern era.

"My Life" by Golda Meir is widely regarded as one of the finest political memoirs of the 20th century. Her life story closely mirrors the birth and development of the State of Israel.

Earlier, "Nash Format," supported by the Yad Vashem Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center, and the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, published "Righteous Among the Nations. Ukraine," initiated by the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine. This volume records approximately 2,700 names of Ukrainians who saved Jews during the Holocaust. This represents the complete register of Ukrainians officially recognized to date as Righteous Among the Nations by Israel's Yad Vashem Memorial. This title, awarded on behalf of the State of Israel by a special commission since 1963, honors non-Jews who aided Jewish people during the Holocaust. To date, approximately 27,000 individuals worldwide have been recognized. Ukraine ranks fourth globally in the number of Righteous Among the Nations recipients.
