EAJC Leadership Addressed the Region's Leaders

Following the devastating terrorist attack on the State of Israel on October 7, the leaders of the EAJC addressed the presidents, governments, parliaments, and diplomatic missions of the Euro-Asian region, including Armenia, Georgia, Croatia, Moldova, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Kosovo, Japan, Sri Lanka, and Albania.

The EAJC urged state leaders to unequivocally condemn the terrorist organization Hamas, support Israel's right to conduct a retaliatory military operation, and implement measures to secure the safety of local Jewish communities. Furthermore, the EAJC proposed considering legal measures to designate Hamas as a terrorist organization and institute a ban on its public support.

"In these darkest hours for the people of Israel, with the death toll from the brutal terrorist attacks against our citizens rising daily and as we uncover increasingly horrific evidence, the voice of the civilized world is urgently needed to condemn the inhumane atrocities of Hamas terrorists.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress stands ready to assist in any legal process aimed at banning the terrorist organization Hamas and outlawing its supporters. Today, we call upon the heads of Jewish communities and state leaders to initiate and advance anti-terror legislation. This will carry profound significance for the Jewish people and represent a decisive step in bilateral relations with the Jewish State.

This is also a highly vulnerable time for Jewish communities outside of Israel. In addition to the atrocities committed here, Hamas terrorists intend to incite hatred against Jews globally and spark a wave of violence. Under these circumstances, we must take precautionary measures and reinforce the security of Jewish communities worldwide, rigorously prosecuting any manifestations of hatred and violence toward Jews and the Jewish State."
