On February 14, the Russian House Cultural Center in Tel Aviv hosted a lecture by Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), on "Public Diplomacy in Russian-Israeli Relations." During the presentation, the Director General of the EAJC outlined the thirty-year history of bilateral relations between modern Russia and Israel and their progressive development, and provided a comprehensive assessment of the current state of affairs, including various public initiatives and the contributions of community organizations to fostering high-level diplomatic ties.
In 2021, Russia and Israel marked the 30th anniversary of the restoration of full diplomatic relations. Dr. Haim Ben Yakov highlighted key areas of Russian-Israeli cooperation, such as socio-cultural ties between sister cities, educational and medical tourism, scientific and economic collaboration, and cultural exchanges in various artistic fields. The event was attended by representatives of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots (KSORS) of Israel and other civic organizations.
