The EAJC Vice President has launched an initiative to assist Ukrainian refugees

A charitable initiative has been launched in Austria to assist with the resettlement of Ukrainian refugees, provide them with initial counselling services, and supply the civilian population with medicines and foodstuffs. The project is headed by the newly elected Vice-President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Matvey Khutman. The project has been established under the auspices of the prominent textile company Palmers.

“A shell flying into a house does not ask for identity papers. Therefore, we provide assistance to everyone. All our actions are conducted in strict accordance with the law and ethical standards,” Matvey Khutman commented on the launch of the charitable project.

During these challenging times, EAJC leadership is actively assisting in addressing the dire humanitarian crisis.

According to the UN Refugee Agency, over 2 million people have already fled Ukraine. The vast majority are currently within the European Union. This number includes numerous members of the Jewish community, who are already receiving assistance across various European countries.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress calls upon all friendly organizations, communities, and concerned individuals to provide all possible assistance to the refugees from Ukraine.
