The EAJC Vice-President Met with the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova

On February 10, 2021, the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Daniel Ioniță, met with the President of the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova and Vice President of the EAJC, Alexander Bilinkis.

The parties discussed cooperation between the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova and the Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania, as well as Romania's experience in supporting national minorities, preserving the memory of Holocaust victims, and preventing and penalizing Holocaust denial.

A particular focus was placed on educational initiatives and the integration of Holocaust history into school curricula, as well as the significance of establishing museums dedicated to Jewish history in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Furthermore, the parties reviewed the projects planned by the Jewish Community for the current year and reaffirmed their readiness to cooperate in promoting established priorities and achieving set objectives.
