On strengthening the role of youth in preserving Jewish heritage and fostering Jewish life within the Euro-Asian region

Resolution No. 1/2019

Reaffirming our steadfast commitment to the Jewish people and the State of Israel, as demonstrated through our continuous support for the development, consolidation, and mutual enrichment of the Jewish communities within the Euro-Asian region, as well as the strengthening of fruitful relations between the Jewish diaspora and the Jewish State;

Cognizant that Jewish life in the Euro-Asian region is evolving amidst profound transformations that directly affect the security, well-being, and quality of life of the region's inhabitants;

Condemning acts of vandalism and incitement to hatred motivated by antisemitism and directed against Jewish religious, communal, and educational institutions;

Striving to preserve the historical memory of the Jewish people and to decisively counter the rising tide of antisemitism;

Emphasizing the fundamental role of the younger generation in safeguarding Jewish heritage and fostering Jewish life in the Euro-Asian region;

Welcoming the significant achievements of Jewish leaders and communities in the Euro-Asian region in implementing educational initiatives and actively engaging Jewish youth in communal life;

The General Assembly of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress

Calls upon Jewish communities and organizations to dedicate efforts and resources toward integrating the younger generation into the Jewish life of the region and cultivating new leaders capable of guiding the Jewish people toward a secure and prosperous future;

Urges support for innovative projects and creative approaches to engaging the Jewish student community, thereby developing and strengthening Jewish student fellowship;

Recommends that Jewish organizations develop advanced and modern methods of informal Jewish education to foster youth engagement with Jewish traditions and history;

Appeals to Israeli state and public institutions to prioritize mentoring young Jewish leaders from the Euro-Asian region in their commitment to the Jewish State, thereby fostering closer ties with the global Jewish diaspora.
