The "Rod'N'ya" Project: A Family History Expedition

The "Rod'N'Ya" project is an educational program tailored for young leaders, providing them with the opportunity to explore their family history and contribute to the development and strengthening of community life.

Over several months, the participants researched their roots, the history of their families, Jewish communities, and their migrations, while studying Jewish tradition and history through archive research and family albums.

To facilitate an in-depth study of family history, 45 Jewish students from Russia, Ukraine, and Israel visited Poland and the Czech Republic. The participants embarked on an expedition, visiting sites where numerous Jewish communities had FTP thrived prior to World War II. As part of the project, the students also enhanced their leadership skills, acquired new project management methodologies, and gathered materials to develop and implement their own initiatives aimed at preserving both family and collective heritage.
