The Odessa 'Intellectual Wars 2019' festival will be held from May 19th to 21st.

From May 19 to 21, the 13th "Intellectual Wars 2019" festival will take place in Odesa, supported by the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress.

Hillel's Intellectual Wars is a unique educational project initiated in Odesa in 2007. The international mind sports tournament brings together teams from Hillel branches across the CASE region, local Jewish organizations in Odesa, and delegations from various cities and countries.

This year, "Intellectual Wars" will host approximately 120 students representing Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Poland, Israel, and Russia.

Teams from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and Russia will be joined by participants from Israel, Poland, and the United States. With each passing year, the event demonstrates significant progress in its organization, participant preparation, and the complexity of the competitive trials. Alongside various innovations, the festivals have transitioned to thematic formats. This year's central theme is "Between the Legendary Lines," which will challenge participants on their knowledge of world and Jewish literature. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to explore Jewish heritage in Odesa.
