Among the participants in the Auschwitz ceremony, hosted by Polish President Andrzej Duda and World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder, were Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, EAJC Board Chairman Aaron G. Frenkel, EAJC First Vice-President Emmanuil Grinshpun, EAJC Vice-President Alexander Bilinkis, EAJC Vice-President Boris Lozhkin, and EAJC Director General Dr. Chaim Ben Yakov.

"The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is fully committed to preserving the memory of the millions of Holocaust victims and preventing such a tragedy from ever occurring again. Today, I call upon the Jewish leaders of the Euro-Asian region to engage in a constructive dialogue on combating Holocaust denial, and to endorse legislation and state policies aimed at countering antisemitism and racism in all its forms," stated Dr. Mikhael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress.

Following the solemn sounding of the shofar, the traditional Jewish memorial prayer "El Maleh Rahamim" was recited. The ceremony was organized by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and the World Jewish Congress.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress joined the annual #WeRemember campaign, initiated by the World Jewish Congress, to foster a global dialogue on the necessity of improving and expanding Holocaust education programs. Campaign participants photographed themselves holding "We Remember" signs and shared the images on social media.
