The 12th Sternberg Readings Conference to Be Held Online

News

The Twelfth Stern Readings will take place on November 25 at 18:00. The Stern Readings is an annual Israeli forum dedicated to the memory of the late Knesset Member, Dr. Yuri Stern. One of Stern's primary focus areas was supporting Jewish communities, strengthening ties between Israel and the Diaspora based on the values and traditions of the Jewish people, promoting tolerance, and combating xenophobia and antisemitism.

The theme of this year's readings, which will be held online due to the coronavirus pandemic, is: "Post-Soviet Jewry — 30 Years Later: Social Status, Culture, and Identity." The videoconference, joint-hosted by the Tel Aviv House of Scientists and the Institute for Euro-Asian Jewish Studies (established under the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress), will feature the following speakers:

Lena Stern, Founder and Director of the Yuri Stern Holistic Care Center

Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress
