The EAJC is organizing the publication of Yitzhak Ilan's biography

At the initiative of the family of the late Yitzhak Ilan, former Deputy Director of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) who passed away last October, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is organizing the publication of his biography.

Born in Georgia, Ilan graduated with honors from a physics and mathematics school in Tbilisi and immigrated to Israel in 1973. Following his service in the IDF, he began a 31-year career in the Shin Bet, which culminated in his retirement in 2012 as Deputy Director of the agency.

The late Yitzhak Ilan was a hero of Israel who made a profound contribution to national security. He left behind a unique legacy and life story that deserve the widest possible audience. The prominent Israeli military journalist and author Yoav Limor has commenced work on a biography of Yitzhak Ilan.
