The EAJC condemns the attempted arson of the synagogue in Yerevan

An attempt has been made to set fire to the only active synagogue in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. According to Rimma Varzhapetyan, the head of the community, the damage to the building is minimal. National law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the incident.

The President of the EAJC, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, addressed the Armenian leadership in a formal letter, drawing attention to these antisemitic occurrences and emphasizing that the situation gives rise to legitimate concern.
