The EAJC expressed its gratitude to Lithuania for its support of Israel

On October 4, the Seimas of Lithuania unanimously approved a resolution designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces, as a terrorist organization.

One of the key initiators of this measure was Emanuelis Zingeris, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense and the sole representative of the Jewish community in the Seimas.

The EAJC genuinely commends the Lithuanian legislators for their solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people. We remain convinced that the IRGC acts solely as another instrument of terror employed by the hostile Iranian regime.

"For many years, the Iranian regime has incited the destruction of Israel and jeopardized the stability of the entire Middle East. During Iran's armed aggression on April 14 and October 1, the international community witnessed firsthand that the ayatollah regime is the world's primary sponsor of terrorism—the chief threat to regional and global security. It is the duty of the civilized world to employ all legal channels to put a definitive end to Iranian aggression. I extend my gratitude to the distinguished representative of the Jewish community, Mr. Emanuelis Zingeris, and his parliamentary colleagues for their support of Israel, and I urge other nations to follow Lithuania's resolute example. Initiating such action requires immense responsibility and courage, even in a cause as righteous as yours," stated Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili, President of the EAJC, in a letter of appreciation to Mr. Zingeris.
