The EAJC has endorsed a charity marathon in support of Israel

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) has extended its support to the international marathon dedicated to aiding Israeli citizens affected by the Hamas terrorist aggression on October 7. Launched on November 5 and spanning over 15 hours, the marathon engaged prominent figures from the fields of music, theater, and cinema representing Israel, the United States, and the post-Soviet space, raising a total of $663,000.

The event was organized by a group of Russian-speaking Israeli volunteers—recent immigrants—with the backing of the Center for Jewish Impact. At the initiative of First Vice-President Temur Khikhinashvili, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress provided both financial and organizational support for the event. Mr. Khikhinashvili stated: “The participation of the EAJC in this marathon has once again demonstrated the solidary of Diaspora Jewry with Israeli victims of terror. The people of Israel stand united in both joy and adversity.”

Broadcasting from a studio in Petah Tikva, Israel, as well as various locations worldwide, hosts and guests connected live throughout the event. Among the key participants was EAJC Director-General Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, who shared his perspectives on the October 7 terrorist attack, Israel's current campaign against the Hamas terrorist organization, and the exceptional courage of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The live broadcast on YouTube generated over 500,000 views from users in more than 30 countries, with contributions received from upwards of 7,800 individual donors. Due to the ongoing influx of donations, the organizers decided to extend the fundraising period until November 20, at which point the final total raised will be officially announced on the campaign's platforms.
