Amid the war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group, which began on the morning of October 7, 2023, following a barbaric terrorist assault on the territory of the Jewish State, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress remains deeply committed to providing aid and support to Israeli victims, as well as to the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces. Furthermore, the Congress is actively facilitating the evacuation of residents from southern Israel, securing the necessary resources for their temporary housing throughout the conflict.
Under the initiative of EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, his company WaterGen has deployed innovative atmospheric water generators to IDF military bases, extracting drinking water directly from the air.
Authorized by the Chair of the EAJC Board, Aaron G. Frenkel, hundreds of thousands of dollars in financial aid have been allocated to key Israeli non-profit organizations. Donations to Yad Sarah, Israel’s largest volunteer-led organization, funded the urgent procurement of medical equipment and rehabilitation services for wounded Israeli citizens. Support was also extended to the "Or L'Mishpachot" organization, which assists families who have lost loved ones in service of the Israel Defense Forces. Additionally, through the Chairman's initiative, 5,000 mattresses were purchased and distributed to soldiers.
Furthermore, through the generous support of Congress Vice-President Mark Shabad, the EAJC has launched a dedicated assistance program for Israeli citizens with special needs, alongside families temporarily evacuated from communities in the South of the country.
Separately, the EAJC continues to fund and assist numerous volunteer initiatives established nationwide since the outbreak of hostilities. Specifically, a major volunteer hub in the new industrial zone of Netanya was supplied with provisions, hygiene products, bottled drinking water, and other essential supplies crucial for the rapid deployment of mobilized IDF reservists on Israel's northern and southern borders.
The EAJC has opened an application process for those in need of assistance. To submit a request, please contact the Congress administration at info@eajc.org. All inquiries will be processed on an expedited basis.
EAJC personnel remain actively engaged in monitoring the situation, responding swiftly to various appeals for assistance from affected Israeli citizens, and providing steadfast support to the Israel Defense Forces engaged in defending our borders.
"The State of Israel must respond with utmost force to the act of terror initiated by Gaza-based terrorists on October 7, which persists to this hour. The nation of Israel stands united before the enemy as never before. In this critical juncture, the leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress—and indeed, all Jewish communities across the Euro-Asian region—cannot remain passive and regard it as their duty to aid those in need and support IDF soldiers during these trying times. Together, we will secure the complete eradication of this threat, as we stand with truth and the backing of the entire civilized world," stated EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili.
