The EAJC has extended its congratulations to Donald Trump on his 79th birthday

On behalf of the leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and on his own behalf, EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili extended his congratulations to the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, on the occasion of his birthday. On June 14, he celebrated his 79th birthday.

The official letter sent by the Congress to the White House reads as follows:

“Since assuming office at the start of this year to lead the world’s foremost power, the United States, you have demonstrated resolute and steadfast support for the State of Israel in its struggle against the rise of radical Islamism and terrorism currently gripping the Middle East. Your decisive stance and prompt foreign policy actions have initiated a crucial shift in the regional dynamic, restoring authority and influence to the principles of justice.

Earlier this year, I expressed my gratitude for your efforts to combat one of the most troubling contemporary social trends—the surge of antisemitism across U.S. academic institutions. At that time, I noted:

‘It is imperative that any manifestation of hatred or violence directed towards the Jewish community, or indeed any group, be universally condemned and outlawed. Incitement to destroy the State of Israel and the denial of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination are entirely unacceptable—just as such rhetoric would be unacceptable if directed against any other sovereign state or nation.’

These words resonate with particular urgency today as we continue to confront the primary state sponsor of global antisemitism—the Iranian regime of the Ayatollahs. This is a regime that openly proclaims its intention to destroy Israel, destabilize the Middle East, and undermine international security. This constitutes not only a threat to the Jewish people but a challenge to the foundational values of the free world.

We look forward to your continued determination, consistency, and leadership—qualities that are vital in these demanding times. We wish you good health, continued success, and fortitude in your mission to safeguard justice and global security.”
