The EAJC congratulates David Markish on his 86th birthday

On behalf of the leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, EAJC President Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili extends his warmest congratulations to the distinguished writer David Markish on the occasion of his 86th birthday.

David Markish is a prominent writer, journalist, public figure, and the author of fifteen novels. He is the son of Peretz Markish, a renowned poet and co-founder of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee. David Markish has resided in Israel since the early 1970s. A recipient of numerous Israeli and international literary awards, his works have been translated extensively into Hebrew and major European languages.

Over the years, the EAJC has supported several projects in collaboration with David Markish, including the publication of the book "From Line to Line" and the production of the documentary series "The Markish Case".
