David Markish is a writer, author of over a dozen novels, publicist, and public figure. He is the son of Peretz Markish, a prominent poet and leader of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee. David Markish has resided in Israel since the early 1970s. He is a recipient of Israeli and international literary awards, and many of his books have been translated into Hebrew and various European languages.
