The EAJC extends its congratulations to Pope Leo XIV on his election as the Head of the Roman Catholic Church

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) congratulates Pope Leo XIV on his election as the new Pontiff and Head of the Roman Catholic Church.

For many years, the EAJC has maintained a constructive dialogue with representatives of the Catholic Church, focusing key attention on preserving historical memory, countering hatred and extremism, and promoting humanistic values and mutual respect among religious traditions.

The EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili noted:

“We trust that the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV will be a time of strengthening interfaith cooperation and moral leadership, which is highly essential in this era of instability and global challenges.
