The EAJC extends its warmest congratulations on the occasion of Pesach.

“Tomorrow evening marks the beginning of Pesach, the holiday celebrating our exodus and freedom.

Pesach stands as one of the most significant Jewish holidays, demanding both spiritual and material preparation. We are pleased that for over 15 years, the Congress has been supporting community members across the Euro-Asian region to observe the holiday with due dignity. Despite the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic, this year is no exception: the EAJC continues to provide matzah to members of Jewish communities throughout our region.

This spring, Pesach holds a unique significance, and not solely due to the global situation. The holiday commences at the conclusion of Shabbat HaGadol. On the Shabbat preceding the Exodus from Egypt – the 10th of Nisan – the Jewish people first demonstrated resolute faith in the Almighty, overcoming their fear of the Egyptians, and were rewarded with Divine support.

This Pesach, I wish every Jewish person a faith equally sincere and profound, capable of overcoming any adversity.
