The EAJC welcomes the normalization of relations between Israel and Bahrain

The leadership of the EAJC sincerely welcomes the decision of Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain to normalize relations following the United Arab Emirates, the Arab nation that initiated this historic milestone in Middle Eastern relations, representing a significant stride toward peace and regional prosperity.

"We are on the cusp of a new Middle East. Facilitated by the efforts of US President Donald Trump, regional powers are reassessing their foreign policies, fostering rapprochement and strategic engagements of paramount significance.

Strengthened alliances between Israel and the Arab world will fundamentally transform the region, fostering sustainable development and security. The State of Israel has established itself as an indispensable actor in the Middle Eastern arena, as reflected in the shifting paradigm of regional policies. We are currently witnessing a reconstructive 'Arab Spring' directed toward countering Iranian influence and its proxies alongside the State of Israel.

While these are initial milestones, they are perhaps the most critical steps in Israel’s decades-long pursuit of peace and cooperative relations with moderate Arab nations.

Personally and on behalf of the EAJC leadership, I extend my profound gratitude to the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain for their dedication to building a new regional order.

The actions of the UAE and Bahrain demonstrate to those who questioned the possibility of reconciliation between the Arab and Jewish nations that regional dynamics have fundamentally shifted in recent years. We anticipate that further Arab states will establish formal diplomatic and mutually beneficial relations with Israel in the near future," stated EAJC President Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili.
