The EAJC hosted a Hanukkah online meeting with community and organizational leaders

On December 14, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress hosted a special online Hanukkah meeting. The event was attended by EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, EAJC Governing Board Chairman Aaron G. Frenkel, EAJC Vice-Presidents David Yakobashvili, Boris Spektor, Victor Naishuller, Alexander Shenkman, Moshe Shvets, and Arye Zelvensky, alongside EAJC Director General Dr. Haim Ben Yakov and leaders of Jewish communities and organizations across the Euro-Asian region.

During the meeting, the EAJC leadership reviewed the preliminary outcomes of the calendar year, extended holiday greetings to the community leaders, and lit the Hanukkah candles. The EAJC Director General announced the opening of the application process for project funding for the upcoming year, and presented new EAJC initiatives and plans. The community leaders expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the Congress throughout this challenging year.

"Hanukkah teaches us that miracles do not just happen; they require effort on our part first and foremost. We must not wait for a miracle with idle hands. When we exert every effort within our power, we are consistently granted support from Above. Similarly, rather than simply waiting for this difficult year to come to an end, we must redouble our efforts starting now, from Hanukkah, and continue our active dedication to the welfare of Jewish communities. Only then can we hope for the long-awaited miracle," EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili stated in his address.
