The EAJC strongly condemns Iran's aggression against Israel

On the evening of October 1, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched an unprecedented act of aggression against Israel, firing over 180 ballistic missiles at its territory. Nearly all of them were intercepted outside the State of Israel by Israeli and allied missile defense forces and aviation.

This is not the first instance of direct Iranian aggression against Israel. The first, equally large-scale attack occurred on April 14, 2024.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress strongly condemns Iran's armed aggression against Israel, deems it unacceptable, and calls on the international community to take urgent measures to deter the ayatollah regime and its dangerous terrorist activities that threaten the stability of the regional and global order.

Since the start of Israel's war against the terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip (following the unprecedented attack by terrorists from the enclave on Israel on October 7, 2023), the leaders of Israel and Jewish communities worldwide (particularly in the Euro-Asian region) have repeatedly pointed out that Iran poses a direct threat to Israel and is actively attempting to destabilize the Middle East.

Six months ago, on April 14, 2024, these warnings ceased to be merely rhetorical and materialized. Iran attacked Israel with hundreds of missiles and drones launched simultaneously from its own territory and by its allied terrorist organizations in the Middle East.
The leaders of the EAJC, aligned with official Jerusalem, emphasize that for many years Iran has presented a three-fold threat to the entire international community: nuclear weapons, regional aggression, and hostile terrorist activities. This must be brought to an end by confronting the ayatollah regime.

“For years, the Iranian regime has incited the destruction of Israel. It is the regime that has armed Hamas militants. It is the regime that bears direct responsibility for all the suffering of Israeli civilians. On October 1, just as six months ago, the entire world witnessed firsthand that the ayatollah regime is the world's leading sponsor of terrorism and the primary threat to regional and global stability. We unequivocally condemn Iran's barbaric, large-scale aggression against Israel and call for a decisive response from the entire international community to preempt future manifestations of Iranian terror. Otherwise, they are inevitable — and on a far larger scale. Israel, in alliance with the United States and moderate Arab nations in the Middle East, already recognizes this danger and is preparing an adequate response. It is crucial to ensure that its scale brings an end to Iranian aggression once and for all,” stated EAJC President Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili.
