The EAJC strongly condemns Iran's unprecedented aggression against Israel

On Saturday evening, the night of April 14, Iran launched a massive attack against Israel, deploying over 300 kamikaze drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. The strikes originated both from the Islamic Republic itself, which accounted for the majority of the launches, and from territories harboring Tehran-backed terrorist proxies. 

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress strongly condemns Iran's acts of armed aggression against Israel, declaring them completely unacceptable.

Since the outbreak of Israel's war against the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, following the unprecedented October 7, 2023 assault on Israel by terrorists from the enclave, leaders of Israel and Jewish communities worldwide, and within the Euro-Asian region specifically, have repeatedly cautioned: the Iranian state is determined to strike Israel and destabilize the Middle East. 

Iran, its allies, and proxy groups, including Hamas and radical jihadist factions, have intensified efforts to target Israeli and Jewish sites globally. This escalation is compounded by a surge in incitement, attempted attacks against Israelis and Jews, and widespread manifestations of antisemitism.

It is critical to emphasize that intelligence reports and numerous journalistic investigations have established Iran's direct complicity in planning the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. The leadership of the Islamic Republic did not merely organize the assault, sustain Hamas with financial transactions, and supply weapons, but also authorized the mass atrocities. The attack from Gaza was devised within Iran's elite military-political unit, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Aligning with Jerusalem's official position, leadership of the EAJC consistently underscores that for the global community, Iran presents a threefold threat: nuclear proliferation, regional aggression, and transnational terrorist activities.

«For years, the Iranian regime has incited the destruction of Israel. This is the regime that armed Hamas. This is the regime directly responsible for the suffering of Israeli civilians. On the night of April 14, the world witnessed firsthand that Iran is the premier global state sponsor of terrorism and the primary threat to regional and global security. We vehemently condemn Iran's brutal, large-scale aggression against Israel and call for a decisive, united response from the international community to preempt future acts of Iranian terror. Otherwise, escalated violence is inevitable,» stated EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili.
