The EAJC extends its condolences to Rabbi Moshe Asman on the tragic passing of his son

On Wednesday, September 11, it was announced that Matityahu (Anton) Samborsky, the adopted son of Ukraine's Chief Rabbi Moshe Asman and his wife Hanna, has been killed. He had been reported missing in action in the combat zone in Ukraine since July 24. The family subsequently received official notification of his death. 

Matityahu is survived by his wife and a young daughter born in May of this year.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress extends its deepest condolences to Rabbi Asman and his family. 

There is no tragedy more devastating than the loss of a child. Such a loss is irreparable. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We pray to the Almighty to grant strength and comfort to the Asman family and to all who knew and loved Matityahu.
