The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress mourns the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
On behalf of the leaders of the EAJC and on his own behalf, the President of the Congress, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, has sent a letter of condolence to the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Israel, Neil Wigan:
“Dear Mr. Ambassador,
On behalf of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, please allow me to extend my deepest condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Following so closely after her Platinum Jubilee, this news is profoundly unexpected and truly difficult to accept.
The Queen lived an exemplary life and personified an entire historic era, serving through some of the most challenging and critical times for humanity. She indeed was, and will forever remain in our hearts, a true role model and a symbol of outstanding leadership, wisdom, and humility.
Allow me once again to convey our heartfelt condolences to you, the British people, the United Kingdom, and the Commonwealth nations. We stand in mourning alongside you and offer our prayers during this solemn time.”
