The EAJC extends its condolences following the terrorist attack in the Moscow region

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress extends its heartfelt condolences to the Russian people, to the families and loved ones of the deceased and injured, and to everyone affected by the horrific terrorist attack that took place on March 22 at the Crocus City Hall concert venue in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region. 

According to official reports, the death toll from the terrorist attack has exceeded 130, with over 150 people injured. 

The President of the EAJC, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, stated:  

“We utterly condemn the lethal, horrific terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk, which has claimed the lives of an unthinkable number of innocent people. We mourn with the families of the victims and pray for a swift recovery for the wounded. The leaders of the EAJC and of all Jewish communities across the Euro-Asian region have consistently warned: the dangerous spread of radical Islamism and terror, cynically and despicably masked behind a facade of pseudo-religious ideas, represents the primary threat to all civilized humanity. 

As Israeli President Isaac Herzog rightly noted, jihadist terror makes no distinction between Jew, Muslim, Christian, or anyone else. Its sole purpose is to sow chaos, hatred, destruction, and death. 

The people of Israel faced this threat firsthand on October 7, 2023. We, more than anyone, understand the existential danger it poses to everyone. Therefore, we are convinced: the entire world, without exception, must cast aside conflicts and political interests to jointly confront this absolute evil. Only a decisive and relentless struggle against terror can prevent such tragedies in the future.”
