The EAJC has issued a formal condemnation of the antisemitic provocations in Odessa

The leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is deeply concerned by the antisemitic provocations that took place in Odesa on December 25. Odesa has always been a city where its Jewish residents coexist in peace and harmony with representatives of other communities.

We call upon the Ukrainian authorities to identify and prosecute those responsible. Combating antisemitism and xenophobia demands decisive action, as well as a consistent moral stance. The Ukrainian Jewish community is an integral part of the nation. It is the duty of the state authorities and law enforcement agencies to ensure the security of the Jewish population.
